Environmental Policy
Environmentally friendly
We actively encourage the use of recycled paper. Recycled paper saves our valuable resources, saves energy, saves trees and creates less land fill.
ISO 14001
ISO 14001 is part of a family of 16 international ISO 14000 standards designed to assist companies in reducing their negative impact on the environment. We were awarded this certificate in December 2009. We have also held ISO 9001 (Quality Management) since February 2008.
Inks
We use inks that are vegetable oil based, meaning that they are naturally liquid at room temperature, without the need for the addition of spirits. The high VOC (volatile organic compound) content in spirits is high and damaging to the environment.
Recycling
All members of staff take responsibility to ensure that all recyclable waste is carefully separated. Waste paper and card, plastics, wood, rags, cans and glass are placed into our recycling system which is carefully monitored.
Quality Control
At Colour Connection, the responsibility of overseeing our environmental policies lies with the Quality and Environmental Manager. We regularly review the systems to ensure that the high standards are maintained. ISO is also audited yearly by an external body.
